Received positive result for HSV 1 & 2. Can confirm I'm definitely positive for HSV1 as I have symptoms but am unsure about HSV2 as I've never had that type of outbreak. My gyn had said it is most likely a false positive being thrown off from my high HSV1 index and recommended to take the igg inhibition ia test, which came back positive as well with no index value.
How likely is this to be a false positive?
