New problem: car audio and whatsapp voice messages.
Hi everybody. Im from Argentina, I've been an iphone user since last year, currently using a 16PM.
In my country, just for context, WhatsApp is the most popular message app by far, and we use it a lot not just on for personal use but also on the job.
Another thing popular here is.. "Not so fancy" cars. Many of the cars used around here does not come with Android Auto or Apple CarPlay integrated. Also, one more time, on my job as a police officer many of the trucks we use does not come with this functions, my family car that I drive on my daily routine is a 2016 model so it doesn't have them neither.
That being said:
The first problem I've encountered last year when I was New to IPhone, was that whenever I tried to send a WhatsApp voice note and the phone was connected to the car audio system, the notes sounded horrible, as if they were recorded under water.
This still happens today and its still frustrating as the first day. As I say, we use WhatsApp A LOT and having to disconnect the phone to the bluetooth audio or the car, every time I need to send a note its just plain stupid. As many other problems I've had with iOs, nobody could gave me a solution or a clear answer. Some say this happens because the car does not have "Apple Car play" which if true, would be a complete bullshit.. On another hand, why on earth would the phone use the car microphone for recording!?
Now, on the last months I've discovered a New problem: you just cant LISTEN to voice notes anymore. Whenever someone sends you a voice note and you are connected to the bluetooth audio of a car (no matter what Brand or model) it will play the first second of the audio and then it just goes mute. The very same thing happens with any kind of media you want to play, for example Instagram videos. It just plays the first second and then.. mute. You dont get an idea of how frustrating this is. I repeat, we need to send reports and many other things through WhatsApp and we are all day long inside the patrol car so this is driving me mad.
What will be next? I will get just 30 seconds of music? I wont be able to listen music on Spotify if my car doesn't have Apple Car play? Why a "flagship" phone of a Brand that advertises itself as "great" cant do a simple task as this one? Not even any of the 2355 chinese brands phones sold today has these problems.
Not to mention that I have some good motorola earbuds and whenever I try to record a voice note while using them.. Guess what. The same problem. The audio sounds horrible. Some people told me that if I want to record them without problem I have to buy apple's earpods. So im obligated by Apple to have all of my devices of their Brand if I want to do simple tasks?
