Can someone please explain why the Duke point ferry is always delayed 20-30 min….every time? It’s usually when I’m taking the 8:15 PM back to Vancouver when I encounter this and usually on a Monday evening which should be pretty dead. It doesn’t matter whether it’s winter either.
They always say it is because they’re trying to load as many cars as possible, but isn’t that part of the normal process? Why would performing the primary job of getting a ferry away on time make a delay?
Does it have something to do with having way more reserved vehicles now? Is it because there’s less staff coordinating the loading the loading process?
It’s so frustrating! 😤
