I have no idea what I’m doing
Hello everyone, I am new to tarantula keeping and I just wanted to make sure that these two get the best life that they can have. The one on the bottom tank is a pink toe and the one on the top is a Brazilian redhead. The Brazilian redhead is only a couple weeks old and the I have no idea how old the pink toe is. I have a couple questions for experienced owners. My first question is: does the pink toe enclosure (bottom) have enough space & decor? He seems to just chill on the top of the tank, I’m assuming it’s due to stress, as I just got him a couple days ago. My second question: I have a heat lamp, but it’s only 10 W, is that enough? I live in a basement so during the day my room is roughly 72 degrees Fahrenheit consistently, but at night it tends to fluctuate. I’m a reptile owner. I’ve had gargoyle geckos, crested geckos, bearded dragons, etc. so I know how to keep their temp, but I’ve never owned tarantulas. Question 3: How should I decorate my Brazilian’s tank? He’s a burrowing spider so I’d assume he needs multiple layers of dirt and forage, but again, I don’t really know what I’m doing. Question 4: It seems that both of them have a hard time eating. I have put really small crickets in there and it’s been a couple days. Should I be worried?
