This has been bothering me since 1979. At the beginning of the Cheap Trick “At Budokan” album, the person introducing them says, “ALL RIGHT TOKYO…ARE YOU READY…PLEASE WELCOME (unintelligible) AND HIS CHEAP TRICK”! What is the unintelligible part? It sounds like he’s saying a person’s name. It sounds to me like it’s “Edmond Fraterny and HIS Cheap Trick” but I have no idea who that is or could be. I asked ChatGPT and it “argued” me up and down that it says “Robin Zander” but that doesn’t make sense. Does anyone have a clue?
