I know itd be more than frowned upon but...
My opinion would be to talk with Tarik on a man to man level and see if we can come to an agreement that he'll ( Skubal ) pull a Jack Flaherty for us. As in we trade him, ( along with Torres, and 27' 2nd round pick, and Id say prospect Sears) to the Dodgers, we pick up Sirota, Morales, Ferris, Ryan, and Wrobleski. Skubal goes and wins the world series with Dodgers and we resign him in off-season for a very nice offering. We get all those prospects plus Skub going forward. Win Win situation... And for the record, for Skubal contract,, Id offer 10 years, $37.5 a year. ($375M) plus a signing bonus that kicks in after his retirement of 10 years at $5M a year ($50M) so $425Mil guaranteed plus mutual 1year agreements until he retires and then we put his name and number on the brick wall..
