Has anyone been accepted to GW ABSN program with outstanding science prerequisites?
I’m planning to apply to George Washington University’s ABSN program for Fall 2027, but I’m a little worried about my outstanding science prerequisites.
By the end of Fall 2026, I’ll have completed Anatomy I and II, Nutrition, Statistics, English1 and 2, Psychology, Humanities, and Biomedical Ethics.
The only two science prerequisites I’ll have left are Microbiology and Chemistry, which I’m enrolled to take in Spring 2027. However, I would really like to submit my application before completing those courses.
I saw on GWU’s website that they recommend having the core science courses completed before applying to be more competitive, and that’s what worries me.
Has anyone applied with two outstanding science prerequisites and still gotten accepted? Did you receive a conditional acceptance, or did you have to wait until those courses were completed?
