I was prescribed doxycycline and tretinoin by my dermatologist, and the first few nights I used it, it worked super well. I used it every night instead of every 2-3 days and moisturized extra during the day so I don’t get dry. I break out very painfully when I don’t do my skincare. After two weeks, I started breaking out really badly. It’s all in the spots that my acne usually is but more inflamed and painful, so I think it’s just purging but I’m scared that my skin won’t heal and my only other option is Accutane if this doesn’t work.
