What Brands Can I Trust?

What Brands Can I Trust?

I’ve been trying to find a good coin storage case. I’ve bought and returned around 5 now bc they all were filled with chemicals.

Im trying to find a box like the one in the photo. The top doesn’t have to be glass it’s just preferred. If I can find a velvet / felt case that closes that would be perfect.

I’ve seen abafil, lighthouse, Rob Davis, and some others but most of those I can’t order from or are far out of my price range. What websites could I go to that would sell something similar? Are there any mainline brands that make something like this like abafil in America? Any advice would help!

(Photo from Etsy but idk if I can trust Etsy to not use chemicals for the velvet. I’m looking for archival safe.)

I finally found this Silver Eagle that my grandpa gave me when I was a kid. He probably paid more for the box than the silver back then lol. After being in its box for 21 years the edges seem to have turned a little orange / red. I’m not too sure what it is or if I could clean it on my own?

My only concern is I remember hearing (mainly from pawn stars) that cleaning coins ruins their value. I remember them having lots of ancient coins on the show so maybe it’s specific to that area? I know this coins value is mainly in the silver but I’ve seen random eagles sell for way over spot price.

Since this coins value is sentimental for me I just want it to look pretty but any advice would help! Also if anyone is somehow able to tell if it’s real or not…
