Hi all, I’ve been quoted £15,499 for a full solar + battery install in the south and just wanted a sanity check on whether this is a decent deal. System details:

Panels: 11.5 kW total (24 × 480W Aiko panels) Estimated generation: ~9,748 kWh/year

Inverter: Sigenergy 6 kW (single phase) Battery: 18.08 kWh total (2 × Sigenergy SigenStor BAT 10) Warranty:

25-year panel product / 30-year performance 10-year inverter & battery 30-year workmanship

Included in price: Full installation (panels + electrical) Scaffolding/access equipment Cabling, commissioning, app setup MCS certification, DNO application (G100) Insurance-backed guarantee (6 years) Bird guard

No mention of export limitation yet but assume standard setup unless I push for zero export.

My thoughts: Price feels quite competitive given the battery size (18kWh is pretty chunky), but I’m not too familiar with Sigenergy kit vs the usual (my father in law has Tesla). Questions: Does £15.5k sound about right for this size system?

Is 6 kW inverter undersized for 11.5 kW panels, or normal UK oversizing?

Anything I should be asking before signing? Appreciate any thoughts
