i was such a bright man back then, such a sharp man indeed
the world was blooming, so much so interesting
i didn't walk on my legs, but curiosity
and an ambition kept my blood's warmth alive
the elders were so perfect;
just learnt to walk a few years back, yet i walked straight
and having been discovered the ground, i looked up to the sky
surged with enormous twinkles, and a glazing full moon.
i was told they were reachable, but only if i leave my heart back.
i didn't will to, yet i was being set to.
the world was pretty, until one day,
a bag was hanged on the shoulders of the man, loaded
loaded with hopes, dreams, expectations, and loaded and loaded and loaded.
i was told to keep quiet, it was necessary- i was no longer a child.
parents told me what i would do
society told me what i would become.
i was told just to listen, and my voice was buried in my heart, my heart thrown away.
the bag was still loading, until my dreams crushed, my pillars of curiosity trembled and broken, my emotions dissolved into still water, my spirit's spark quenched.
the sharp man was now blunt, with eyes half open
trying desperately to unsee the cruelty, yet with the last hope to see
the man is now a hunchback, so he only sees the ground
he only finds peace with his friends now.
at last, when he gathered all his might, and looked up to the sky
it was cloudy, and he could find no moon
he was told the moon was removed- "it was too imperfect- beauty of nature now has no place in society"
he was now arrested in a room, with the bag now a part of his body.
he was still told they were reachable, but his legs couldn't support him.
and one day as he stepped out, he found his heart on ground, dried as a leaf.
i'm not suicidal, it's just not meant for everybody
i shall strive still, just to prove my worth to society
the man is still roaming, searching for what could make him a bright man again.
i miss you, my past.
(open to both appreciation and constructive criticism, thanks)
(i'm not su*cidal, pretty happy, the stress is just getting out of hand)
