Getting a snake “rescue”
I’ve been wanting a snake for years and years and my younger brothers friends older sister abandoned her corn snake when she left he parents house and they don’t know what to do with it so I said I’d take it. I’ve been researching various snakes and their care needs for a few years now and will be doing more research going forward both before I pick up the snake and after. My question is if there is anything that is commonly missed that I need to know and if there is anything I should buy before the snake comes home. It comes with a 40 gallon tank a heat lamp aspen bedding a water bowl and one hide from the information I have gathered.
My starting list is;
Either buying a medium to large frozen mouse in advance or just after I get the snake
Probably a thermometer, hydrometer, feeding tongs, some sort of travel container for the snake and some more bedding
A second hide min
Is there anything I’m missing right away (I don’t know exactly what the snake is coming with but want to make sure bare minimums are guaranteed and will continue improving after) picture of the not so baby included
