Crusher and Picard, sitting on a holodeck tree
I’m watching those AI music videos on YouTube about Star Trek, one of them focuses on Picard (https://youtu.be/Id1TXtWc\_3g), beautiful video, but it breaks my heart.
We won’t ever see the story of those two loving and caring for each other as a couple. Pike and Captain Batel had such a beautiful farewell episode.
Seeing the AI video of Picard and Crusher makes me miss that part of the story real hard. I would love to see him taking care of her, showing his love, his way. Same for her.
At the same time I think that Picard would rarely actually demonstrate what he feels, and that Crusher would be the one taking charge, rather than being vulnerable and needing his protection. Which makes this hard to work out well within their character.
I’m still sad, I wish we would be able to live that part of the story.
