Hey everyone, I’m thinking about doing my master’s in Spain, with three cities in mind: Sevilla, Zaragoza, and Valencia. I’m 41, married, and have three kids (all under 18). I speak Spanish fluently, so I won’t need extra language classes.
My plan is to arrive as a tourist with all my documentation and then apply for the visa from inside Spain. I’ll be taking around $45–50K in savings—would that be enough?
I’m already looking into apartment costs and other expenses, but has anyone gone this route with a family as well? I’m also not planning to move any of my belongings.
P.S. I consulted with a Spanish lawyer before starting this process, and they confirmed that I can apply for the student visa within the first 30 days after arrival (As long as I have my letter of acceptance among the other documentation needed)
