COMPACT AND POWERFUL Bass amp reccos?
Hi friends!
I'm looking for a new amp, and would love your recommendations. Here is my criteria:
- LIGHT. I have an ampeg head and 4x10 cab at the moment and while they sound great, light they are not.
- Powerful enough to play with a party band. I plug into the board out of my DI, so it doesn't have to be SO powerful so as to have to enough for the house straight out of the amp
- Preferably on the smaller side. But as long as it's light, this one isn't a deal breaker.
- And, obviously, it has to sound good. I'm not an audiophile or a tone purist, but if I had a preference, I would lean towards tight/punchy tones, as opposed to round, warm tones. But of course we still want it to sound like a gut punching bass at the end of the day.
