I've been procrastinating writing out explanations for LR questions & answer choices to upload to my site. Yet I'll frequently do exactly that when people post questions they're struggling with here.

So I figure two birds, one stone, and all that.

If there's a question you want explained, simply list it in the comments (Test #, Section #, Q # is fine) and I'll get to them as quickly as I can. I'll post responses here as comments, and I'll start with the questions that get the most upvotes (on the assumption those are the ones more people want answers to).

Thanks in advance for helping me get my ass in gear.

Hi all — I’ve been tutoring the bar exam for about five years, and for the past few years I’ve been teaching an MEE course (both small groups and one-on-one) that goes step-by-step through how to write a passing answer, not just what a finished answer looks like.

I’ve worked with first-time takers and a lot of retakers, and helped a number of students improve their writing scores and pass, including around a dozen from this past February exam.

I’m running a “bootcamp” version of this course this weekend (Saturday and Sunday, 12–3pm ET). It includes live discussion and feedback on at least one MEE per student on Sunday, along with written feedback and grading on two additional MEEs and one MPT. We’ll also spend some time on MPTs on Sunday.

If you want to get a sense of how I teach, here’s a free seminar I ran during the February prep cycle:

I do tend to teach better with a responsive group of students, though.

Happy to answer questions here, or feel free to DM/email (daniel@xllawtutor.com).
