I read a chapter book as a kid .. it was about a girl going to summer camp .. she is very smart and shy .. I think she gets injured at the begging and goes to the infirmary and they give her a book and she learns a bunch of facts that then help her make friends and settle into camp ?? I know one girl ( the antagonist ) keeps screaming about seeing poison ivy and the girl shows her it’s not repeatedly
I do know for a fact the girls go on an overnight trip somewhere that is supposed to be “haunted” and they hear screaming at night but she says no those are loons
At one point the antagonist screams abou poison ivy again and to prove a point she rolls all over it and says see it’s not and then the ending of the book is a joke that she actual ends up with poison ivy any idea what the book was
