The position I applied for was with a staffing company partnered with Blue Cross Blue Shield. The position seemed legit; the company looks legit. The recruiter went in depth on the role and the hiring process. I saw all green flags until the last part of my phone call, where they wanted the last 5 digits of my SSN.

I declined to do that, and they were understanding. Sent me an email to send it over via DocuSign once I felt comfortable.

Just asking for anyone to confirm if this is something safe and/or common. Especially when it comes to Blue Cross Blue Shield.

Because all of this looks good. Legit company, real position, recruiter went in depth on position, recruiter has a real LinkedIn with their face. I just don't go out handing my SSN numbers when asked, is all.

If anyone could give me some advice, that would be much appreciated.

Obvious leverage play. But more importantly, the Kings have some of the worst contracts in the league to match salaries with.

Keegan Murray. A guy who people seem to have a positive opinion of because the 1 year they watched him play nationally, his rookie year, he was good. Keegan is about to start a 5-year, 140 million dollar contract. Keegan is a spot-up shooter with no signs of creation ability. And now can't shoot. His 3pt% dropping from 41, 36, 34, all the way to 28 last year.

These are all negative assets that, on their own, would need to be packaged with 1sts to get out of.

The only possible way this happens is if we legit get back all of Sac's draft capital. Which might be on the table with how dumb that shitty organization is.
