Girlfriend and I broke up a few months ago and we had a house together. I wanted to sell as is and she wanted to fix it up which is fine but i cant be off the mortgage because weve had a recent late payment. Her side still wants me to get off the title even though id still be on the lone. Her mom talked to a lawyer friend who created a Transfer and Indemnity agreement and a quitclaim deed. Would these two documents actually remove my liability towards the loan even if im still on it?
