Update on: War of The Ring: The Two Decades Limited Edition!

Dear friend,
Thank you for your support of the Two Decades Edition of War of the Ring.

As I wrote in my previous update last month, I recently visited our factory in China to check the final samples of all the Two Decades Edition products, perform a final quality check, and resolve any small last minute issues so that the final assembly could begin.

I spent the past week in China (or traveling back and forth), and now that I am back, I can provide you all with the outcome of the journey — of course, if you are following the War of the Ring Official Group on Facebook, most of what I am writing here is not new, as I was able to post some real-time updates during the visit (as much as the "Great Firewall of China" and roaming connections allowed, at least).

I could go forever about the details, but most of them would be VERY boring! So here's a summary:
with a few minor last-minute adjustments, completed already, all the individual printed components have been approved (everything else — such as the miniatures, trays, and dice — had already been approved)
while I was at the factory, we reviewed the assembly and packaging of the first samples, and approved those as well
by the time I was ready to fly back, the factory was ready to start assembly and packaging of the entire production
the estimate provided by the factory is that the production will ship around August 10.
Now, I am sure many of you are wondering…

"Okay, when will I get what I ordered?"
Presently, the transit time from China to the main fulfillment hubs we use (we will have five separate warehouses involved in this project — USA, Europe, Canada, UK, and China) is, on average, about 60 days. My best estimate at the moment is that you will receive your pre-order before the end of October.
However, we're living in difficult times for international freight and commerce, as I wrote before, so any estimate is just that — an estimate. We will continue to keep you informed about the shipping and fulfillment schedule through our social media and direct mailings.

That's all for the moment!
