How urgent is the gameplay?

Hi! I'm fairly new to the 40k universe, but I really enjoy the lore, and so far, I've played space marine 2, and I'm on chapter 4 of Rogue Trader. I'm already looking for my next game in this universe, and Mechanicus seems like it was pretty popular. I've heard that the game is "timed" in a similar way to XCOM. I have never played XCOM, so I'm not sure exactly what that looks like. Is it rogue trader style combat with a timer attached to it? Are you heavily penalized for taking your time? I spend a LOT of time reading in RT and if there was a timer, I would have failed this game. So, what's it like? Thanks.

Extremely Frustrating

So I kill the Sire and deal with Montag, I gain control for 1 second and I can't click on any bodies so I move about 3 steps and it cuts to the next scene. I don't get to loot the bodies and because i can't save during dialogue, I have to decide if I want fight through that whole battle again just to see if the loot was any good. Wish there were more definitive "yes i am ready to leave now" mechanics rather than, "oh your companion's foot crossed this line so now you miss allll this stuff." That was a long battle, and there is no fuckin way I'm doing that again. Anyone else or just me?
