please help

I’m a general physician and I recently passed the MCCQE1 and obtained my LMCC. I have not taken the NAC OSCE yet.

My husband is a permanent resident in Quebec, and I would like to apply to CaRMS, but honestly I feel completely overwhelmed by the amount of information and the different pathways. I’m a bit lost regarding the exact steps I should take, so any guidance would really mean a lot.

There are two things I’m especially confused about:

  1. It feels like I’m stuck in a loop regarding the permit process: to obtain a permit, I seem to need a job offer and /or apply for CARMS , but to apply for CARMS, I need a permit first. I’m having trouble understanding which step should come first and what pathway IMG physicians usually follow .
  2. If I pass the NAC OSCE, would that help in any way with the Express Entry / immigration process, or is it only useful for CaRMS and residency applications?

I would really appreciate any clarification or advice.
