Potential First Contractor Role

Currently on 40K a year at a law firm where I have been for 6 months as a permanent role. I have 5 years of experience in the anti money laundering and financial crime sector.

I have been offered a contract role at a larger law firm at £375 a day for 6 months with the possibility of an extension. This would be inside IR35.

The recruiter keeps mentioning the possibility for an extension and the strength of the market. I am aware this is likely sales chat.

I want just wanted a sense check on others views on this opportunity (primarily whether it actually works out financially) as worried about the risk associated.

Potential Job Move

Currently on 40K a year at a law firm where I have been for 6 months. I have 5 years of experience.

I have been offered a contract role at a larger law firm at £375 a day for 6 months with the possibility of an extension. This would increase my commute time to 2 hours each way three times a week.

The recruiter keeps mentioning the possibility for an extension and the strength of the market. My gut instinct is this is unlikely.
