Am I the only one?

Am I the only one?

I think the thing I hated most is that in episode 9, when Fawn and Dylan met again and started talking, I actually believed he had changed. Like their cute moment at the waterfall was so wholesome and heartwarming, I was really hoping they'd get back together. And in the next episode when she decided to go to the wedding and tell him how she feels, I remember jumping up in excitement.

Then of cause after they fucked he showed his true colors and pretty much told her they were done. I was literally as angry as Fawn was!!! I BELIEVED HIM!!!!! I was completely fooled. I really, REALLY believed he was a changed person. Um, wolf. But like I gotta admit, whoever wrote the previous episode did a good job, making it seem like he'd found enlightenment or whatever. It's not often that a somebody can fool you like that. Usually you can tell if an asshole is still an asshole, but Dylan REALLY had me completely fooled, just like he fooled Fawn.

I gotta wonder though if that originally WAS the plan? Perhaps the plot for the finale WAS for them to get back together, and the writers decided to change it? Who knows. But I still gotta admit it was disappointing, especially since I was rooting for them. I mean, since Devin had such great development in season 8 of Big Mouth, I was hoping Dylan had had some major off-screen development himself. Of course we know Devin's behavior is mostly the result of Petra poisoning her mind, encouraging her to care only about herself, and perhaps her mom too. But in the case of Dylan, who knows? Maybe he IS just a sex freak, or maybe he's terrified of true commitment. Who the fuck knows? But just like Devin, I can't bring myself to hate HIM either. Everybody has a reason, a story, for being how they are. While Devin's is more tragic, again what with Petra forcing her to be better than everybody, and perhaps idolizing and wanting to emulate her mother, perhaps Dylan is simply acting how he believes wolves SHOULD act?

Either way, if he DOES appear in season 2, I don't want him to show up just to be a thorn in the characters side again. Just like Devin I want to learn more ABOUT him. I was glad season 8 showed us at least a GLIMPSE of Devin's life, but I still feel they should have given us more. I just want to see more into Dylan's psyche, maybe a glimpse into his past or even home life, if he has one. Like it bothered me that he didn't even seem sympathetic about Fawn's mother, or even ASKED about her if I remember correctly. I wonder if HIS parents are still alive, if he has siblings, or ANY family for that matter. Just like Devin I'm sure his problems are rooted in his upbringing. Maybe he WILL eventually meet somebody he can finally force himself to be loyal to. I guess only time will tell. But what do y'all think?

How would y'all like some Big Mouth miniseries?

They should seriously find ways to keep Big Mouth going. Like I like the idea of Big Mouth and Human Resources both having miniseries, especially revolving around certain characters. Like I imagine each miniseries would have only one season, like most of the Star Wars and Marvel shows, and like I said each character would have his or her own.

Like for example, Missy's miniseries might have her staying with her cousins. It sucks we never saw them that much, they're both really cool, and having a full season of her staying with them would be awesome. Like I see them teaching Missy more about hip hop culture and fashion, and maybe teaching her to drive. Obviously Missy would miss Nate, but they'd definitely find a way to keep in touch.

For Jay I'd like to see him get invited to a school for aspiring magicians. No not like Hogwarts, just a school for teenagers who want to study stage magic and illusions and stuff like that. Like I can see him becoming good friends with fellow students, maybe even meet a cute girl magician, which of course would complicate things with Matthew and Lola. And maybe another magician becomes his rival or archenemy.

Devin. Now, I personally loved her development in season 8, and honestly I'd love her miniseries to continue to focus on her development. Like I can see Coco continuing to guide her, to help her overcome her insecurities and anger. Like it's obvious that Petra is partly to blame for it, because she urged her to focus only on being "on top" and being popular, and probably told her to tear up anybody who she felt threatened her position. However I also feel maybe Devin's mother could be to blame too. Like it's obvious she looks up to her and admires her, judging by how she has her picture right next to her bed. I personally feel like her mother might be what they call a "Karen", and she probably has friends she uses and puts down and belittles, and perhaps this worship of her mother caused her to do the same to Lola. But I also want to know why she's so insecure about her freckles. I mean she's so BEAUTIFUL. It really made me sad that she covers them up. In her miniseries I'd just like to see her become brave enough to kick Petra to the curb so she can finally live her life her own way, and maybe even realize she doesn't have to emulate her mother and just think for herself. Perhaps she'd even apologize to the other girls and finally become friends with them. However we DEFINITELY have to see more of her adorable sister. Ever since seeing her in S3 she never appeared again. It's like the creators simply forgot she existed, wtf?

Lola's show, well definitely, we HAVE to finally see her mother in person, in a non-flashback, non-musical-sequence appearance. Just in person, at the house, and her and Lola actually spending time together. Perhaps Lola might finally find the nerve to ask who her dad is. I personally DON'T think it's Rodney. That would be too simple, too predictable. But perhaps when/if Cookie leaves again Rodney might actually let her come stay with him for a while. As for her and Jay, well, I can still see them keeping in touch when Jay's at the magician school, maybe even gets jealous when she finds out about the magician girl he's hanging out with. But personally I'm still not sure how it would all turn out. I'm nowhere near as good as the writer's.

Jessi's series DEFINITELY has to have her stand up to her mother, aka Shitshow Shannon, maybe with Greg as backup, and tell the bitch that she's like 16, and deserves the freedom to date who she wants to date. Like I know Greg would like Camden if he met him, and maybe HE'D let him come over when Jessi is staying with him. Since Camden seems to like the same music as Greg, I can see them perhaps jamming together, and perhaps Greg might even hook Camden and Jessi up with real weed instead of a vape, and of course keep it a secret from Shitshow Shannon.

I feel Caleb should have his own spinoff miniseries, but I'm not sure what would happen. I just loved the relationship he had with Pete and Maury, and I can see them continuing to help him with day-to-day stuff. Instead of the usual raunchy BM stuff perhaps something similar to a cute Disney short or something, just showing how much they care for him, helping him be brave, and maybe help him overcome a few of his fears. Just something wholesome and cute, but also realistic.

I dunno, I just think a miniseries focusing on these and other characters would be great, something to keep us going, to fill the void in our hearts left after season 8. Perhaps it would even be popular enough that in a few years they'd even revive the main series. I mean, never say never right? I also had an idea (well actually I saw somebody else post it a while back) that they could even do a Big Mouth version of a Christmas Carol. If they did, Marty would DEFINITELY be Scrooge!!!

But anyway what do y'all think about all this?
