Adding OCs in the main plot
I want to add an OC named Osric Stone into ASOIAF and wanted opinions on whether his storyline feels believable within the politics and tone of the books. Osric Stone is the bastard son of Lord Jon Arryn and is the master of his guard in Kings Landing. He accompanies Jon in his investigations and he does learn small fragments of Joffery's Parentage but nothing much to stitch together something meaningful. After Jon's death, he escorts Lysa back to the eyrie. After Ned's execution in Kings landing and Stannis exposing Joffery's lineage through Ravens he notices the impatience of the lords of the vale. With his good relationship with Samwell Stone and Nestor Royce, he demands Lysa to join the war backing Robb stark and the Tullys. Lysa refuses ofc, and osric loses his cool. Lysa imprisons him and Samwell Stone. However the lords of the vale take it up in their own hands house arresting Lysa and freeing both Osric and Samwell Stone. They hold a discussion where they agree to send a host of 3000 to go join the starks, while samwell stone and nestor royce stay back for defending the vale. Osric takes harrenhal, and thats when the news of the red wedding hits. He also finds out about Stannis's presence in the north. He finds Osha and a boy claiming to be Rickon Stark. Osric goes back to the vale and with an escort of 10 men goes to Stannis at castle black via gulltown to eastwatch by the sea. Osric bends the knee to stannis. Brings his 3000 men to castle black through sea.
Tells him about Rickon Stark and his plan to put Rickon in the seat of winterfell for backing of Stark loyalist houses like House Manderly. Then there is a battle of the bastards (my version of it being osric stone vs ramsay snow/bolton) with stannis and jon snow also being heavily involved, ill work around it. They succeed with a good battle tactic im gonna keep for myself. Rickon is placed at the seat of winterfell and northern lords bend the knee to Stannis. For reward osric stone is legitimized to Osric Arryn. Now as Osric is returning to the vale, he is imprisoned by the vale lords as soon as he gets there, this is because of the sudden death of Lysa and Robert Arryn. I want to work on his trial, and many more battles he will be involved in the future. Is this worth writing?
