Went to El Salvador during Semana Santa and ended up witnessing one of the most surreal things I’ve ever seen. Entire streets in Concepción de Ataco covered in these insanely detailed sand and sawdust “carpets” called alfombras… only for them to be walked over hours later by religious processions. Filmed it from the air and it genuinely didn’t feel real.
