Player Guide

Player Guide

Good day,

This will be a short announcement that a new Player Guide is available on the Boom Beach Wiki, covering almost everything from HQ1 to HQ29. I know it is very long, but I wanted to cover everything important in the Guide.

If you find any mistakes or have any suggestions, feel free to post them here. I'm also aware that the Boom Beach Wiki has an issue with advertisements. I have already checked the page, and it doesn't seem like the ads are too agressive. However, if the Community wants a Word document version of the Guide, I can create one, of course.

I want to thank everyone who helped me create the Guide and everyone who provided feedback and suggestions. I hope that Guide will help players better understand master Boom Beach.

Upcoming Player Guide

Hello Boom Beach Community, WarshipsDestroyer here!

Some of you may already know that I've been working on a new and improved Player Guide that explains various game features and provides tips and tricks for players. Technically, the guide is already finished and ready to be released. However, after seeing a certain post here on Reddit, I decided to delay its release to add a section about Operation attacks.

That also made me realize that it would be a good idea to ask the community if there are any topics you think should be included in the Player Guide.

The following topics are currently covered in the guide:

HQ1:

  • How Boom Beach works

  • Archipelago

  • Troop Mania & Downscaled Units
  • Troop Combination

10 more facts you possible didn't know

Here you have 10 more Boom Beach facts you probably didn't know:

If you didn't read my last Boom Beach Fact Post then you can find it here.

  1. There are a total of 85 different Operation Bases.
  2. Technically, the highest possible Engine Room count is 20, with Engine Room Level 10 being the maximum level. Of course, we have never had more than 8 Engine Rooms or any Engine Room above Level 5.
  3. During the beta, each troop had its own flag color. Riflemen had blue flags, Heavies had green, Zookas and Medics had purple, and Warriors and Tanks had red.
  4. During the beta, no Gunboat Ability had a duration timer. So yeah, good luck trying to guess when a Shock Bomb wears off. 😅
  5. The Mech is the only troop whose downscaled version not only has lower stats but also a shorter stun duration. It loses 0.1 seconds of stun duration for each downscaled level. However, MC-CMD-012 is not affected by this and always stuns for 4 seconds at each level.
  6. Cpt. Ruddero's old crew might have been cannibals. There are two Messages in a Bottle that support this theory. In his third message, he says they need help quickly; otherwise, his crew "may resort to desperate measures." His fourth message states that only Ruddero, the bosun, and the "cook" were left. He also signs the last message as "Capt. Ruddero & Skeleton Crew" instead of using his usual signature.
  7. Besides the three well-known high-ranking Blackguard members, Lt. Hammerman, Dr. Terror, and Colonel Gearheart, and, of course, the "High Command", there are four additional characters who either belong to or formerly belonged to the Blackguard: Lt. Hoganland, the Blackguard Quartermaster, J. C., and Don from Marketing. The last of these was exiled to a deserted island by Gearheart Arms, Incorporated. All four are only mentioned in various Messages in a Bottle.
  8. There are no female Blackguard Villagers.
  9. Originally, there were concepts for several other high-ranking Blackguard members, including Dr. Browning (who appears to have evolved into Dr. Terror despite looking very different in the earliest concept art), Prince Victor, Officer Kraft, and four different versions of General Brim, one of whom was female for some reason. There is also concept art of a female Blackguard member placed directly next to Lt. Hammerman in the art book, indicating that there were ideas for a female counterpart to him. Lastly, there is a Concept Art of Commander Kalt. What role could he possibly play within the Blackguard?
  10. There is an unused Laser decoration in the game files that was supposed to be added with the Laser Ranger and Critter Launcher update in November 2022. It seems that it was ultimately scrapped for unknown reasons.

20 Boom Beach facts you probably didn't know

Here you have 20 Boom Beach facts you probably didn't know:

  1. The maximum Threat Level for Dr. Terror is 130, while all other Cycle of Evil events are capped at 99. Attempting to load a higher Threat Level causes the game to crash.

  2. The Cryobombardier has a 10% Corrosion effect since its introduction in 2020. This effect was originally called "Weakness" until Lt. Anna Schlingel was released.

  3. The Zombie Rifleman had the longest hiatus between appearing in the game files and receiving official proof of existence. It was first leaked during the HQ 28 Update in Summer 2025 and, to this day, has still not been released.

  4. The MegaScorcher originally had less health at Level 28 than at Level 27 due to a typo. This was fixed when the Proto Troop Workshop was introduced.

  5. Most players know that Pvt. Bullit has the Unrelenting effect, which allows him to attack faster as his health decreases. However, he is not the only unit with this effect. The Seeker also has it, although in a weaker form.

  6. In the entire game, only Super Warriors and the Deployable Turret skip a level. Both of them have unused Level 22 stats. Both use Level 21 stats when at Level 21, and Level 23 stats when at Level 22.

  7. It is possible to hack an HQ with Cpt. Everspark's Universal Remote if timed perfectly. To do this, the building she targets must be destroyed at the exact moment she activates her Universal Remote. If no other valid target exists, she will hack the HQ instead.

  8. The self-heal values of Warriors, Hidden Warriors, Super Warriors, and Vampire Zookas are inaccurate in-game. Their self-heal is actually percentage-based rather than a flat value, meaning the more Magma Statues you have, the more they heal. The self-heal percentage decreases with each level for most units. The only exceptions are the Super Warrior, which remains at 35% until Level 20, where it jumps to 81% and then continues increasing with each level and the Vampire Zooka, which always heal for 250% of her attack power, except at the old Level 28 stats, where they healed for only 70.1% for unknown reasons.

  9. Cpt. Ruddero's Wingman moves at an incredible speed of 13.0 tiles per second while orbiting Ruddero. This is notable because it is not only the highest movement speed in the game, but it also exceeds the usual movement speed cap of 5.0 tiles per second.

  10. Most Squad Leaders were significantly stronger in their original designs, such as Sgt. Antti Pylkäs and Queen Nafanua. Only a few, such as Lt. Linnea Friskdahl, were originally weaker.

  11. The highest Sonar Ops stage ever reached was Stage 839. This was made possible by multiple bugs being active at the same time and was achieved during the January Sonar Ops event.

  12. Sgt. Amélie Mooka increases her Squad's attack speed by approximately 200–300%, which is very likely a bug.

  13. If Mind Control reaches 20 points without any unit having died beforehand, it spawns Level 1 Riflemen. Otherwise, it always spawns Troops of the correct level.

  14. Dr. T Lookalike is the only building whose damage cannot be boosted by Ice Statues. It is also the only building that was unable to deal any damage when it was first released.

  15. The in-game Death Damage value was bugged for a long time, displaying the actual value divided by 100 (or by between 1 and 4 in the case of the Rocket Choppa and Heavy Choppa). However, the downscaled Scorcher and SG-63 Firecrab values were even more inaccurate. Their death damage remains identical across all downscaled levels despite the game displaying much higher values that do not correspond to any actual Scorcher death damage value, even when multiplied by 100.

  16. All Squad Leaders (except Rifleman) have downscaled levels for HQ Levels 1–6, despite not being unlockable before HQ Level 7.

  17. Heavies and Zookas are the only troops whose downscaled levels work differently. Heavies have the same stats at Level -1 and Level 1. Zookas, on the other hand, have the same stats at Level -4 and Level 1, while Levels -3 to -1 have higher stats. This makes Zooka the only troop whose stats become worse when it loses its downscaled state.

  18. Rocket Choppa and RC-CMD-013 are the troops with the most levels in the game, with 51 levels in total: 22 downscaled levels and 29 regular levels.

  19. The old Stunner used to automatically deal damage to its target when it threw a Shock Bomb. It also had the lowest DPS in the game at just 1 DPS, as the damage from the Shock Bomb was not included in its DPS.

  20. The Bombardier featured during Warships Seasons 3 and 4 is not the same Bombardier that exists today. The game files contain two separate versions: "Bombardier", which was a Proto Troop exclusive to those two Warships seasons, and "Bombardier2", which is the troop currently available in the game. Even its downscaled version is named "Bombardier2DS", retaining the "2" in its internal name. Interestingly, the Squad Leaders use "Bombardier" rather than "Bombardier2" in their internal names, as they all follow the format "LeaderBombarder_{{Name}}".

What's your Opinion about the Boom Beach Wiki?

Hello,

Here is WarshipsDestroyer, the current administrator of the Boom Beach Wiki. Over the years, I’ve noticed that people tend to go to Reddit or Discord to ask about certain topics instead of using the wiki (which is technically faster), or that they dislike the Wiki / Fandom. Therefore, I want to use this Post to gather your opinions and feedback about the Boom Beach Wiki.

I hope that as many users as possible see and respond to this post so that the wiki team can implement your feedback, and so that we can better understand your opinions and the issues you have with the wiki.
