Is the f2p luuk team actually as good as I think it is?

So for context I just did the new cycle of the end state matrix, ended up getting 33000 points easily with my most built teams. But what shocked me was that my luuk team, consisting of him, sanhua and SK, did a lot better than some of the teams I thought were better built.

My team's are:

Qingxiao, denia, mornye

Hiyuki, lynae, mornye

Hsin, e rover, buling

Galbrena, mortefi, SK

Phrolova, Cantarella (and third filler because I don't really need a third unit)

And lastly the luuk team

I am just dumbfounded by how well the so called f2p team did

My firsts DND combat experience was iconic

So for context I am very very new to DND, as in I have only been in two official sessions of the campaign, with some involvement in session 0. I am a complete newbie, I don't really know what I'm doing but I believe in the power of my character writing skills as well as partially relying on my more experienced members of the party

Regardless of that info, I think I may have one of the best first experiences ever of combat. We were exploring a dock to investigate a smuggling of goods that the main mariners guild didn't have a proper understanding of. Turns out it was someone trying to be initiated into a specific group (can only give vague details because that's all we know so far). But my experienced friends were finding a way to stealthily get into this warehouse where the smuggling was supposedly occurring.

Meanwhile, jump to me and the other newbie to dnd, we were secretly messaging while everyone else was stealthily on the roof and figuring out more info. We discussed how I could be thrown through a window to take whoever is in there by surprise. We let the veterans have their fun, and I am indeed thrown through a window and start the combat on the complete other side of the VTT to everyone else.

Long story short, I essentially have my own combat of me Vs one imp, while the rest of the party deals with 4 other imps, 2 hellhounds and a tiefling who we initially thought was controlling them and in charge of the smuggling. So I'd say I'm going to enjoy DND, especially if more hilarity like this happens.

If you have similarly funny stories of combat, I'd love to hear them!

Plus if you have any tips on how to get a bit more involved in things, that would be great. I'm finding it a little hard to know what questions to ask/what checks to be making...
