How do I draw the crosses for certain direction on the 3rd slide?

As you can see on the slide 4 I tried to make my character look at upper left but somehow it looked at straight left? I also think my green pupil placement has something to do with it

Is there a YouTube channel that teach you how to draw from zero? I genuinely tried searching myself but most of them act like I should already know the basic,

This is my best drawing so it should tell you just how low my skill level lol
