I’m working on a project to create moulding for double glazed windows. My intention is for the the moulding to sit on the inside and outside of the window - and use magnets to hold them both in place.

So they can be 100mm long, but narrow 5mm wide and ideally not more than 5mm deep. I can use between 4-8 per moulding.

The windows are 28mm thick and include 2x 4mm panes of glass.

How strong do the magnets have to be for me to not worry about the mouldings falling off. Being firm. I don’t intend on removing them hah.
