I dunno why but I also haven't been able to start Murtagh. I bought it on day 1 and kept it on the shelf. I love Murtagh. He's my second favourite after Roran but I haven't been able to get to reading the book. I feel like it's because I've been waiting for sooo long for new content I'm scared I'll be interested again and Chris will make me wait a decade to read more 😂

I read the books growing up and from Eldest I read them day 1 then read and reread it till brisingr dropped. Then I kept rereading it till inheritance dropped but I feel like inheritance took too long and didn't fit the spot. Like it needed to be 2 books not 1 and then nothing for so long till the fork the worm and the witch which also felt unsatisfying to me. Then when they announced Murtagh I was so excited and got it day 1 and then nothing. I couldn't bring myself to read it. Idk 😐 this world is such a huge part of my childhood and there's so much left unfinished. I think I'll just wait till book 2 to drop to read book 1.

I love the series , I love the author. I grew up with this series and it moulded me but I'm just gonna wait and see if it gets regularly updated before I get invested again
