David Lee 8/18 Media Press conference - Even Bigger Fee for a new player
It looks like there was a small bit of confirmation of the rumor of Sporting KC looking to spend even more. In the press conference he stated " I think what you will find in these last two weeks, particularly, with the fee that we paid for Andre Luiz, and potentially to pay a fee similar to that or more for other players."
Talking about how the last 2 weeks of a transfer window intensifies, and how deals can fall through after the bigger clubs get deals done. It looks like he kinda mentions about how a player wants to play for a champion's league team, and if that doesn't come to fruition that Sporting KC might be their 2nd or 3rd option which is good for us. (Gboho instantly comes to mind, but maybe someone else too)
So there is potential for another big signing this window. Also talking about signing another defensive type player. All the chips are on the table for using DP and youth DP spots. Next two weeks will be interesting. 17 min video worth the watch if you're interested in it.
