Hello. I have two seperate breeding pairs of discus. I decided to take one pair and put them in a seperate tank for the purposes of breeding them.

The problem is that when they first lay, in the first 24 hours the eggs are amber/translucent and slowly go opaque/yellow untill the whole clutch fails. After 48 hours they are dead eggs and will get white fungus over them.

I am using ro water and remineralizing with seachem equalibrium.

They make a new set of eggs about every 3-4 days.

Water paramiters: gh: 2 kh: 1 tds: ~80 ph: 6.8
