Newbie question How exactly does Ramp work on ResMed 11?

Hello everyone,

I've been around for a while,it's my 3rd day of CPAP therapy and I am using a ResMed Airsense 11 and Dreamwear nasal pillow mask.I have an AHI of 48. My pressure settings are between 4 and 12, and my doctor told me that I breathe comfortably at a pressure of around 11 when sleeping on my back, and around 8 when sleeping on my side. My ramp mode(4) is turned on and set to 30 minutes. I have a few questions and would appreciate your help.

If I fall asleep within the first 30 minutes, does the pressure increase even if the ramp time isn't over yet? Does the machine detect that I'm asleep, or does it just stay at a pressure of 4 for the entire 30-minute ramp period? Honestly, I'm worried about falling asleep before the ramp time ends and experiencing apneas/choking events during those first 30 minutes due to insufficient pressure.

Also, on my first night with resmed airsense 11, I had 11 events, but tonight I had 6. I am definitely getting used to it and using it more comfortably, but do the number of events generally go down the more you use the device? English is not my native language sorry for the mistakes.

As a rookie game master suffering from analysis paralysis, I need your advice and a system recommendation.

Hey everyone,

This is going to be a long post. I’ve been playing tabletop role-playing games for a while, But I’ve only started taking them seriously in the last five months

Because of that, I might make some silly mistakes or have some misconceptions—please forgive me in advance. Thanks for reading, and I look forward to your suggestions.

I’m looking for some advice because I’ve hit a wall with my GMing. I’ve realized that I’m not great at multitasking once the session gets moving. When I have to juggle too many "trackers" at once meta-currencies (like Hope/Fear in Daggerheart ,Fate points or moves in PbtA games), status effects, and systems where things change every single round (like Dragonbane’s initiative) My brain just starts to lag. My players are mostly new to the hobby,Because they don’t know the rules well yet, I find myself tracking their stuff too, (I'm also a little bit control freak I want know everything about situation too) and that’s when I start forgetting things. It kills my narrative flow and the tempo of the game.

Here’s what I’m looking for:

I like the play in my own settings( sometimes I adjust the famous ones(pirates of Carribbean or Avatar the last airbender)according to our style). I want a system where the players have medium crunchy rules to play with (d20 based, preferably), but I want to be "free." I want to be able to improvise cool, unexpected NPC moves on the fly without being tethered to a massive stat block or a rigid rulebook. This not for railroad, I just not want to achieve whatever I want, I just want to use my creativity with rules like characters in Fate.

Vertical Progression for My players need to feel they are getting stronger. Numbers going up, new abilities—that "Zero to Hero" satisfaction.

I much prefer Theater of the Mind because I love the uncertainty and the cinematic descriptions. My issue with systems like Nimble’s 3-action economy is that they feel like they were born for a grid. In TotTM, "I punch, I kick, I punch" feels repetitive and uninspired.I don't hate grids, I'll use them if I have to, but they aren't my first choice.

Systems I've looked at:

Dragonbane: Love the character creation, but the "I attack, he defends" loop and the constant initiative reshuffling becomes a multitasking nightmare with 4 players and 6 enemies and there's no vertical growth to reward(heroic abilities are more like horizontal)I can use dragonbane for one shots or short campaigns.

Daggerheart: Brilliant ideas, but the "Hope/Fear" tracking is exactly the kind of "extra thing" that I need to track.

Cypher System: My favourite to read,Love it as a GM, but it feels a bit too "Weird" for my players. We like it but you know it's cyper it's just weird. I am waiting for second edition

Nimble: Love the speed and vertical progress, but the 3-action economy often feels like it's designed for a grid.

Shadow of Weird Wizard: I like the character creation, so many options but rule book is big, there are damage types, different conditions also system has low support (nimble, cypher and dragonbane have good online free resources). I am not sure about DC 10 for everything.

FU2(action tales): I've checked this not played yet but think it's way more narrative than I thought.

Fate Condensed: Free and smart system, I really like Fate especially custom NPC and character creation with skill list. I like the skill lists but Fate is hard for my players they need to more active and use meta currency. Also combat is just flat. Also sometimes The situation stacking the advantages kill the combats' mystery.

I've been around for while so I heard

Savage worlds, shift rpg, tales of Argosa... There are so many systems. I can not afford and read all of them so I need to choose wisely.

Final notes: I have only played D&D 5e as a player, never as a DM. English is not my native language, so I prefer books that are clear and well-organized. You can also change my view about the systems that I've looked at.
