A Spanish aerospace company, ITP Aero, has started building a new aircraft engine components manufacturing facility in Hyderabad with an investment of around ₹453 crore. The plant is expected to produce key engine parts and could create over 350 jobs in the coming years.

This seems like another step towards strengthening India’s aviation manufacturing and MRO ecosystem, especially since the country still depends heavily on imports for many aircraft components. With global supply chain disruptions continuing, developments like this could help reduce lead times and improve availability of critical parts.

Do you think India can realistically become a major hub for aircraft parts manufacturing in the next 5–10 years? What challenges still need to be solved?
