Was it something you grew up around, fell into by accident, or did you actively choose it after trying other things?

For context, I’m a welder and I’ve been in the trade for about 6 years now. I didn’t originally set out thinking I’d end up here. I actually bounced around a bit after high school, did some warehouse and labor work, and eventually got into welding through a friend who pushed me to try it.

At first it was just “a job,” but over time I realized I liked the hands-on work, seeing actual results at the end of the day, and not being stuck behind a desk. I stuck with it, got more comfortable, and eventually just built a career out of it.
