Hammocking gear around 30F help
Hello, I have been slowly picking up things for my camping setup (as the budget allows) and next thing is getting a better sleeping bag for my temp rating. The one I run right now is this 59F bag and this 41F underquilt.
I have been camping a few times in late August and found that temps around 40 are chilly (with pants, socks, and hoodie on). I am going on a trip for Memorial Day weekend and wanted to pick up a better bag and was eyeballing this one, but figured I would ask around for an under $200 bag, preferably down, because I would rather it last a while
The listing is odd, but its the 550g "29-18F" bag. I've seen reviews saying to just add about 10F on the rating of cheaper bags which might be a good idea
What do you guys think? I live in Upstate NY and am 5'8" ~140lbs male (since body type and region play a factor). The last few nights were about 40-50F depending on rain
