Just moved into a new apartment, and I have these valences/short curtains stapled and installed into a wood frame drilled into the wall that don't seem like the effort to remove and put back after I move, especially with the right hand side shorter to make room for the houses ventilation.

I was planning on putting up my curtains I already have for the room in the second picture but I genuinely have no idea how I would make that work. They look sort of nice, but they don't fit into what I was planning to do at all. Any ideas on covering them up or integrating them into a different set of curtains? Thanks
