In a midst of depression i watched hannibal and after watching this series, i felt that it's better than any of the hopkins movies and even red dragon, the whole series took the movies, like all of them, mixed them together and proceeded to go RE2 Remake on it, expanding on it in every way, whilst removing the crap comedy the movies had and some other dated stuff, lector here is a continuation of the rising version that young me always wanted l, clocked it after seeing the Japanese samurai suit on his house , and i even realized the mask he ends up with when caught is inspired by the oni aswell, i never caught that from the movies cept the obvious, will is even a darkened version of himself who is losing his mind and can visualize like i can in my head (ive had naughty moments with women in my imagination like will does in crime scenes with dead bodies) - i really relate to graham here in a bro kinda way and its all really visual and amazing to watch totally out of your face on something in the hallucination scenes
I really felt like this has a whole metal gear, far cry mirroring thing going on that really gave the whole lore a big boost, lector is fuckin sinister here, and fabricates stuff and employees other killers to do his dirty work, but goes totally against them at the same time for a sense of sport, or cause they are free range rude, and works with the cops like nothing happened, he ends up banging a women here and fucking brutalizes her after she finds out the kind of cunt he is, this lector, will, and even Larry fishburne were excellent and It points out why I hate TWD and sobs of anarchy soap opera type shit with 10 seasons, no series has a thrill quite like this version of Hannibal, truly Micheal jackson stuff
it's a CSI show at first with will investigating unknown killers that quickly turns into a psychological thriller after he meets lector, never seen anything like it other that in some video games I've played that I love, by the end I really did not care about hannibal being evil, I was all for him getting away and fucking eating them all for once, it literally flipped it all on its head in a good way
DO NOT WATCH THE HANNIBAL MOVIES UNLESS YOUR A PURIST
