Why does prime hate react?

Can anyone link me to the video of why prime hates react? I've only ever used that so I don't really understand/know what to hate about it - and I want to understand the take. Is there a video where he goes into it in detail/tells us a proper story about it?

22 [M4F] India/Anywhere - looking for someone to talk to about the little things daily

Hey! Hopefully this post gets me somewhere lol. I get matches on dating apps but the hellhole that they are - lead to conversations that are drier than the Sahara desert. People barely know how to talk - so here I am hoping for something better. Finally looking to get back into dating after getting out of a long term relationship of 3 years - about 8 months ago.

A little bit about myself:

22M, from Kolkata. I work remotely for a US startup - so open to travelling as I can pretty much anytime/anywhere lol. I love movies, am a foodie (love experimenting with different food when travelling!). Travelling to UK and the EU in a couple of months and then probably going back to the US for work for a few months! I'll be travelling solo and visiting Salerno, Athens, Innsbruck, Slovenia, Vienna, Poland and Berlin - so if you want to give me travel tips, even better haha! STEM background, and looking for someone in a similar-ish background so that we have more in common/have better chances of clicking. I'm also getting back into reading (non-fiction) and writing. I love making my own coffee drinks as well - kind of a coffee nerd lol.

Physically - I'm not very tall (5'5") - so if that's a dealbreaker - I'm sorry for wasting your time lol. I'm lean, and athletic, keep myself fit, and when I travel I like to do activities like rock climbing, and hiking often. Would want to exchange face pics at some point - to not waste each others' time - as let's be honest - attraction does matter.

I am looking for ambitious and confident people - having the drive to achieve something is really attractive!

Looking for something meaningful and long term - don't text me if you're going to be boring/want to end up ghosting lol. Please send a decent amount of info about yourself - and hopefully don't end up being too dry - and I promise to put in effort if you do too :)

How to think of stocks vs MFs - in terms of holding terms

Hey all

Have been recently looking more into investing - so far my main focus has been growing my income but I have it to a point where I think I need to think about investing it decently (7.75L/month pre-tax for now)

I've been picking stocks since I was like 19 since I started earning. I have a small portfolio built up (5.2L invested - current value 5.8L - I'm almost always up approximately 10-20% depending on market conditions). So far I didn't have any MF portfolio - and now I'm starting to build that up slowly by doing some lumpsum investments and also starting some SIPs. I dont have pretty much any costs so I'm looking to invest as much as possible except for what I have to keep for advance tax payments.

Question is - how do I think of stocks. Do I think of holding everything forever - or do I book profits in LTCG amounts as and when I can? Because I know MFs are mostly for longer term holding, maybe periodic rebalancing. How to think about stocks?

Sometimes I find some picks where I might book in short term - should I book them? I have so far kept a mindset of long term holding and have mostly been buying large-cap-like companies, a few mid-small cap (very few) - but I dont think I want to keep holding the bag forever. Can someone more experienced help in how to think about this?

22M | Parking funds | Income > 75L

Hi all - I started investing at 19yo and have a small sized portfolio - but in recent years my income has 10xed which has led me to asking for advice.

I'm looking into advice independently - I'm watching some Labour Law Advisor videos (I think the people are knowledgable and seem to make sense for me) - other recommendations welcome.

I have a very small corpus (compared to my income now) - invested. I'm planning for a family + solo trip to UK/Europe soon (~June) - so I would need to keep decent amount of funds liquid for that, but I have a lot of money not invested that I would like to invest. Here are some details - I'm mainly asking here to sanity check my thought process, and some important tax implications.

I work as a professional, ineligible for 44ADA/AD and thus would be taxed at the highest slabs. (keeping this in mind for debt funds/arbitrage)

Current portfolio:

Stocks: Invested 5.28L, Current value 6.03L (was stock picking for a while, last invested around 2024/25 - have not had time due to life events, looking to rebalance and do some more active picking here soon)

SGB: Invested ~1L, Current value: 2.66L

FD: 12L

Mutual Funds: None. This is mainly where I'm trying to get advice - I have an aggressive risk appetite - do not care about day-to-day fluctuations, and probably going to follow LLA-Aggressive strategy from Minutes of Mutual Funds + Arbitrage/Liquid funds/some amounts in Debt funds.

  • Wondering if someone could point me to/explain some of the benefits/concepts here - specifically how/where to park funds - how to use Liquid Funds as the place to park funds - tax implications and such, tax harvesting. I'm probably gonna invest some lumpsums and start a few SIPs. Not asking for fund recommendations - just taxations/implications I have to worry about.
  • Seen a lot of chatter about ELSS Tax saving (Is this even applicable in New Regime???), Liquid funds taxation, and arbitrage fund taxation benefits (due to only needing to pay tax upon withdrawing and not on full amounts). Keeping in mind that I'm using a Sole Propreitorship - would these be beneficial for me?
  • Is RD beneficial at all for me - or would Liquid funds/Ultra Short Term/Short Term be the ones where I park my money?

Not asking particular advice for what to invest in - mostly questions about taxations and implications.

Preview window - sessions

I am working on an (in progress) plugin that works on full fuzzy (and coming: hybrid semantic search) for opencode sessions.

I've found myself unable to find opencode sessions and often having to tell the model to search for sessions because I often have long running sessions (I like to keep some context often from sessions if i have similar workflows) - and I often need to search for certain this I was working on through projects to kind of remember what I did there.

My current plugin overhauls the opencode session picker (Ctrl-X + L) - with match previews, and fuzzy search powered by fzf, hybrid semantic search. For the later - you will need a local embedding model - any small model should work - but working on picking the best one, experimenting and streamlining setup, indexing instructions. Just wanted to share if other people find this useful - even the fuzzy search part, as I find the only keyword search over names kinda lacking.

Let me know if this is useful for anyone and if this fuzzy search meaningfully improves things for anyone/thoughts on the UI! Its still in progress - and just built really recently - but I'm going to be actively working on this so appreciate any feedback!

Hey everyone

I'm 22M, currently applying for Schengen visa - through an agent because for part of my trip - me and my parents will be visiting together and they wanted to apply via an agent. We will be visiting UK for ~15 days - staying with my relatives for the most part, and then around 8th July - 28th - we plan to visit Europe together, but after that I wanted a while to be solo in Europe.

Problem is - and I think this is a decent question - will this be something that is allowed or not by the visa officer. I work a remote job - and earn $100k USD (contractor for a US company) - so this will not an infeasible trip for me - but I understand that the cost factor and questions are definitely there - so my agent is kind of worried about this.

I will be working remotely throughout, and I already hold a US visa (B1/B2 - got it in 2025 for company related travel - visited USA for 3 months), have previously held Schengen (2024) - visited Germany for 2 months on an internship.

Will this be a question that is brought up or is this something that I will be able to pass through? Should I shorten my duration for better visa application chances? Would the VFS/visa office question my intentions too much?

Savings in INR:

  1. Current account - around 45 lakhs
  2. Savings account - around 15 lakhs
  3. Stocks - around 6 lakhs
  4. Fixed Deposits: 12 lakhs

EDIT: More details - I forgot I copied most of my post body from another subreddit - so here are some more details:

  1. Indian Citizen
  2. Prev travel - USA (California) for 3 months
  3. 2 months in Germany (internship, travelled to Austria, Italy while there)
  4. Have NOC from company for full duration (however I am technically self employed - so not sure how to factor this in)
  5. Have confirmed tickets for flights (Qatar Airways - no sketchy/dummy stuff) + Hotels via booking.com (refundable and pay later options) + some AirBNBs - refundable as well. For full duration of stay - no missing days.
