Hi all,
Second year English teacher here, I like to think I’ve developed a good work life balance, but after hearing some teacher are working 55 hour weeks (!!!) I’m feeling like I’m no where near working enough hours to be on par with some of you. I get my lesson plans done fairly quick and I have to say outside of assessments (I teach 5 classes, so about 5 lots of assessment per term), I’m not doing a whole lot of marking. Most of my feedback is verbal. I’m happy with my job and I feel like I get a good response from my students they seem to enjoy my classes and find them valuable, but I’m just feeling a bit self conscious about not working enough hours. Would love to hear some thoughts!
