Hello! I have recently started going on midnight walks and I would like to get a reliable, sturdy flashlight that is powerful enough to see in complete darkness a reasonable distance. I'm willing to spend somewhere in the region of 100$. Also, I have read that strobe mode is pretty useful for safety, and where I plan to go crossing your paths with a wild dog or a wild boar isn't out of the question, but I have no idea if that would be of any use.

I had looked at the Fenix E35R, Nitecore EDC35, Acebeam P16 and Acebeam E70. Also, I care about reliability and power, aesthetics aren't much of a concern. The thing is, being completely flashlight-illiterate, I would very much appreciate any advice you could give me.
