Sul Sul Simmers!

We have been gathering and reviewing your reports and feedback since our last release and while we have more development ongoing, we have a number of trending issues resolved in this update.

For Simmers on PlayStation and Xbox, we are aware of reports regarding the Gallery becoming unresponsive and the team is working as quickly as possible on resolving these issues for an upcoming update.

Base Game Update

[EA Forums] Opening clothing categories in Create a Sim wasn’t jumping to the clothing currently being worn by your Sim, this has been addressed, making it easier to get that perfect look by knowing which pack a clothing item came from.
[EA Forums] Using the eyedropper tool in Build Mode will take you to the Build catalog listing for that item.
[EA Forums] During Gallery uploads, players could encounter a timeout error. This has been addressed and should no longer occur.

NOTE FOR NEWBIES: You cannot simply replace the mod file with the same file for a fix. If it needs to be updated, you must wait for the updated version. Once available, remove the old one, delete cache and repair game.

What's causing this⁉️ 🧐🔍

As with every EA update, mods and cc are going to break. Play offline and please give mod creators time to check and clear/update their mods.

Immediately following the patch release (approx. 1PM ET):

Help posts/comments will be removed if not in pinned troubleshooting megathread. Follow the instructions in the troubleshooting thread to figure out which mods are broken so you can take them out but simmers cannot fix anything for you, you will need to wait for updates.

"What's causing this" posts will be removed. Simmers, help the mod team out by reporting any that automod misses. If your post is removed, read the pinned automod comment for next steps or what to do if it was removed incorrectly.

The subreddit tends to get an influx of I hate these updates, be nice to mod creators or meme posts after a patch. Double check to see if one has already been posted. Do not derail those posts by asking for troubleshooting help.

IS THIS MOD BROKEN? IS THIS MOD UPDATED? 💔💻

Follow your favorite creators to keep track of updates: discord, twitter, bluesky, patreon (free), modhound or see mod lists below. Any mod status inquiry posts will be removed. DO NOT ASSUME A MOD IS FINE IF THERE IS NO STATUS UPDATE.

• SimsAfterDark Discord -- mod status channel available
• DeaderPool's Discord -- mod status channel available

Support channels in SimsAfterDark and DeaderPool’s discords are CLOSED for a short period of time as there are no solutions but to wait for mods to update and they get flooded with help questions just like all the sims subreddits including ours. However, they have mod status channels so you can get mod status updates.

Remember, even mods that never everrrrrrrrrr break or CC can cause issues. UI can be broken even if the mod(s) are not UI-related. These patches can break anything.

How to turn off automatic updates

• EA App > Menu > Settings > Downloads > Update games automatically (toggle off)

• For Steam: Right-click on your game > select properties > choose updates > select “Let Steam decide when to update” under the automatic updates section.

How to go offline:

• EA App > Menu > Account > Go Offline

These steps are not 100% effective, so if you notice something strange with your mods/cc, double check to make sure your game didn't update.
