Hey everyone,
I’m looking for a game that really captures the bounty hunter fantasy, but not tied to a specific universe necessarily. Preferably something not too old but im open to listen to suggestion !
What I’m really looking for are systems and vibes like:
- A bounty board / contracts system where you pick targets
- A feeling of being part of a bounty hunting guild or faction
- Tracking down targets (bonus if there’s investigation, clues, or hunting mechanics)
- Freedom in how you approach missions (stealth, combat, planning, etc.)
- That lone hunter / Mandalorian-type vibe
It doesn’t have to be sci-fi — fantasy, western, or even something more grounded is totally fine. I care more about the gameplay loop and immersion than the setting.
Games I’ve already considered or tried (so no need to suggest these unless you think I’m missing something big):
- Red Dead Redemption 2 (bounties were cool but felt a bit limited)
- SWTOR (Really close but a bit too "old" for me)
- Skyrim with mods (kind of scratches the itch but not fully)
I’d love something where bounty hunting feels like a core system, not just a side activity.
Any suggestions?
