Hey everyone! A group of my friends and I are looking to get into fishing and want to plan a trip out to a lake that's beginner friendly but still has enough depth/structure to make it interesting (not just a super shallow pond). We're planning on shore fishing since none of us have a boat. If anyone has recommendations for lakes in the area that fit the bill, we'd really appreciate it. Also open to any tips on beginner-friendly rod-and-reel setups, bait, or tackle to help us have a good first outing. Thanks in advance!
