Hello~ first time poster, long time lurker here!! I’ve been feeling really discouraged with all the posts from people my age about reaching 100K+ meanwhile I’ve only started becoming serious about saving and investing a year ago…
I’m a nurse, plan is to save 500-600$ a month. Until coast fire maybe in late 30s/40s? I do eventually want maybe 2 kids down the line… I also have HOOPP which is a DB.
My first stock I’ve invested in was apple and VFV, but now i recently switched to XEQT as my main ETF. I plan to also invest a small amount in safe stocks such as GOOG/NVDA but I’m confused about whether I should be buying the USD or CDR version if it’s a long term hold??
I also hold CBIL for my emergency fund but I’m planning to switch over to Wealthsimples money market fund? Does anyone have any insight on this?
I’m the first in my family to have any financial literacy and I don’t have many people in my personal life I can talk to about this so any advice is very much appreciated!!
