Can Non-Native English Speakers Become ALTs in Japan?
Hello everyone; I was wondering if there are any ALT positions in Japan where Spanish speakers can apply, or if there are programs that accept non-native English speakers as long as they are fluent in English.
I speak both Spanish and English, but I’m from a country where English is not the official language, so I’m not sure if that would be a problem when applying for ALT or English assistant positions.
Does anyone here have experience with this or know of companies/programs that are more flexible about nationality or native language requirements?
Also, are there any ALT-type jobs or school programs focused on teaching Spanish instead of English?
