Assessment places in Newcastle NSW

I have another post outlining my suspicions that I may have ADHD and a couple people have commented that it sounds like it. I’m looking for peoples opinion’s on the places I should go for an assessment. Money is a factor for me aswell as time so I’m keen to hear everyone’s thoughts about potential places I could seek out to get an assessment

A bit about me. 28 yr old male tradie in NSW Newcastle area. I’ve always struggled with school, missed pretty much my whole primary school and half of high school, i was sent to a school for (difficult learners) aswell, I started work on construction sites at age 11 (yes illegal (I think)) but my option was school or work and I chose work most of the time. I was diagnosed Asperger’s. I did an apprenticeship for a cert 3 in one trade at 20 and I struggled massively with the tafe work and I ended up holding up the entire class with my paper work and in the end did very minimal but excelled in the prac, and after a bit the head teacher told me not to come back to tafe and assessed my ability’s on site and passed me (yay). Now my partner has told me to get an assessment for adhd, because she thinks I have it which I have put on the back burner until now. Because I have started another apprenticeship in another trade and I’m struggling again with the paperwork side of things and the support I have from the training organisation isn’t as much as tafe offered. And now today since I’m so behind I decided after 2 years to take her up on her offer to try a dexamphetamine and hold crap I was able to get so of my paperwork done. Which leads me to think I might have ADHD… What’s everyone’s opinion on this? And If you think it’s worth me trying to get a diagnoses where should I go to get it? The other factor is money, as we have 2 young kids money is very tight.

Thanks for your time if you read this whole thing.
