I’m switching to the large backstrap with the flush fit mag. I have to remove the flared magwell to do this. There’s a vertical metal pin that holds the flared magwell in. Am I supposed to just leave this pin out? Is there a shorter vertical metal pin I’m supposed to put in its place that I’m missing?

Another way to put it: if you aren’t using the flared magwell do you only need the horizontal plastic pin that holds the backstrap in?

Also as a psa: for anyone swapping the 11 round baseplate to the 10 round flush fit baseplate, there’s a metal L shaped insert that the 11 round baseplate requires that you have to remove to get the 10 round baseplate to click in. Don’t leave it in.
