I’m planning to use a raw brass inkwell and want to know how it handles Walnut ink and Higgins Eternal Ink over time. I know the chemistry says walnut is acidic and Higgins can leave a film, but I’m looking for firsthand experiences from anyone who has actually used these specific inks directly on bare brass. Did the walnut ink permanently ruin or heavily pit the interior? Does the Higgins Eternal leave a residue that’s impossible to clean out of the corners? I'd love to hear how your well has held up and what your cleaning routine looks like before I pour anything in. Thanks!
